Sachia Vickery is a world class tennis player from the USA, born on the 11th of May 1995. She reached a career high, world Junior ranking of 6, as of September 7, 2012. After turning professional at the end of 2012, with a limited tournament schedule due to financial restraints, Sachia has already reached a WTA ranking of 182, with many wins already over top 100 WTA players.
Sachia’s performance since starting on the WTA Tour, on a limited tournament schedule and budget has been quite remarkable.
Sachia’s results and performance through-out her Junior Career have been world class. She has dominated junior tennis through-out the age groups in the USA, winning a number of national championships as well as prestigious international events such as the Eddie international Junior Championship as a 14 year old.
This success has translated to the ITF circuit, where Sachia qualified as a 14 year old at Wimbledon, as well as being the finalist and winning numerous ITF titles. Sachia spent most of 2012 ranked inside the Top 10 of the ITF World Junior Tour, peaking at number 6 after making the semi-finals at Wimbledon in the doubles.
Sachia has quickly risen to the challenges of the WTA Tour, competing in numerous $50k, $100k and WTA tour events. She has beaten numerous top players along the way such as: Anastasia Rodianova (WTA 30), Rebecca Marino (WTA 38), Alla Kurdyavetseva (WTA 56) and World number 1 junior Taylor Townsend. She is very close to breaking through on the WTA Tour. Sachia has the talent, ability, coaches, trainers and team around her to get her to the top echelons of the WTA Tour. Sachia now needs the ability to travel and play a full schedule that allows her to get the necessary rankings for the grand slams to establish herself as one of the best players in the world.
